On
the 24th of August two puppies arrived at the airport in Atlanta
after having been flown 10,127 miles from Ile de la
Reunion,
a small tropical island in the Indian Ocean, 700 km east of
Madagascar.
Insh'Allah, these puppies will one day add their unique genetic
heritage to our breeding program. Both were bred by my
close friend and fellow breeder Brigitte Jacob-Washington
(Tassili
N’Ahaggar Azawakh).

TINHINAN BATNA
and IDI
ILLAMAN AFELAHLAH
are pictured below. Batna is named for the village
in Algeria where Brigitte was born. Afelahlah is Tamasheq
for a special grass (more on this later....) which grows in the
Sahel.
